Italy’s bookmaker Bwin has created history by being the first authorised operator to introduce real money skill games. The Vienna based group has brought out 8 such games, including Solitaire, Blackjack, Eldorado and 8-Ball Billiard.
Bookmaker authorisation from AAMS
The initiative has the backing of the State Monopolies Autonomous Administration, AAMS. It follows on from the launch of Ongame, an Internet poker product in Italy.

The skill games area available on Bwin.it since January 5th this year. The other games on offer are 3 Card Poker, Yatzy, Formula 0.01 and Backgammon.
All the games are licensed and regulated by the Provincial Government of Åländska. The License was granted back in 2006 to GamArena AB and Åländska Penningautomatf.
CEO upbeat
Bwin’s CEO Norbert Teufelberger was upbeat about his company’s progress, saying it was consolidating its strength as a house of games, widening the spectrum of offerings to cover real-money online casino games of skill apart from the sports betting and online poker already provided.
