After finding out that I'm no longer allowed to play real money games on FullTilt, I decided to go back to Bodog where I had an account from awhile back. I guess it has been awhile since I played poker on Bodog, as their interface and game play has improved quite a bit since the last time I was there. There were also plenty of games available to play, and best of all, I'm allowed to play with them from the US.

I really like the site and the payouts are quick but I got fooled the other day. I pulled a straight flush playing Caribbean Hold Em....I thought I was going to get 10% of the progressive pot which would have been $11,000!! I got paid 20 to 1 on my bet. The catch is the straight flush has to be your first 2 cards and the first 3 of the community cards. My cards were K of clubs, q of clubs (my first 2) then the community cards were 9 of clubs, q of clubs, k of hearts, 3 clubs, jack of clubs............the jack would have to be the 5th card dealt for me to get 10% of the progressive....I have actually never heard such a thing.....at least they researched my 4 hours of playtime and found the hand.

For me, online poker is as much about the playing environment as the game play, so I was excited to try this room out. While the poker room has a very nice interface and some interesting features, it was lacking somewhat for me since I'm on a Mac and only have access to the instant play version. The instant play software only allows ring game play which is ok, but I prefer sit-n-gos or larger tournaments. Also, some of the customization features aren't available on the instant play version, which is nice to have but not necessary since the standard interface is good enough. Overall though it seems like a really good poker room and those of you on PC's should have no complaints.

The new software IS BETTER, but the kinks need to be worked out. They are committed to making a good poker room. Right now their guaranteed tournies have huge overlays which is nice. Sportsbook and casino are nice additions. Some genuine soft play even at the upper limits.

I have been a bodog customer for years and have
always been extremely happy with their service.
Payouts seem as fast if not faster than other sports
books and their customer service staff are always
helpful. I just started playing poker with them as
well and like their software better than a couple of
other places I tried.
